A single mum from Melbourne is looking forward to cutting back at work after receiving the out-of-the-blue news she is over $1.4 million richer from scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian woman held one of the 14 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3963, drawn Saturday 13 July 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.
When a Tatts official called the woman this morning to break the life-changing news, she couldn’t contain her disbelief.
“Oh my god! Thank you! I can’t believe it!” she exclaimed.
“I thought you must have to be pranking me but I can see the numbers on the app.
“I think when I hang up I won’t believe it!
“I play Lotto pretty sporadically. Sometimes I don’t play for months and then sometimes I play a few draws a week.
“I saw there were a few big offers this week so I grabbed a few tickets and I am so glad I did!”
When asked how the thrilled woman planned to enjoy her windfall, she confessed the win had come at the right time for her and her family.
“It has come at the perfect time!” she declared.
“It will help me pay off my mortgage and get back on my feet after a rough time.
“I’ll be able to share some with my family and cut back at work.
“It will be so nice to only work part time so I can spend more time with my daughter.
“I’ve got to go into work today but I’m not sure how I am going to get through the day and act normal!”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 18-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3963 on Saturday 13 July 2019 were 16, 5, 18, 41, 22 and 36, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 7.
