$10,000 Instant Scratch-Its win makes Mount Gambier player one ‘happy camper’

A Mount Gambier local or visitor to the region is now one ‘happy camper’ after they scored $10,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The winning $1 Happy Camper Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Chapman’s Newsagency, 11 Commercial Street West, Mount Gambier.

How the winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

Chapman’s Newsagency owner Colin Martin said he was delighted to have made another customer a major prize winner.

“How fantastic is that!” he said.

“We had another customer win an Instant Scratch-Its top prize just before Christmas, so we’re on a bit of a winning streak at the moment. Hopefully, we can continue to deliver big wins to our customers.

“It creates such a positive atmosphere in the outlet when someone wins, and our entire community gets so excited for the winner.

“We’d love to send our congratulations to our winner. We wish them all the best for the future and hope they have another big win one day.”

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the state’s latest winner would enjoy every moment of their instant windfall.

“What an excellent instant surprise for our winner!” she exclaimed.

“While we don’t know how our winner will enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they will be smiling from ear to ear knowing their bank balance is about to balloon by a few extra digits.

“Other winners have told us they use their windfall to upgrade their car, go on a holiday, or shout their family and friends to a great celebratory dinner.

“No matter how they enjoy their prize, we’re sure it will make their 2022 bigger and brighter!”

In 2021, there were 157 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $10 million in top prizes.
