An overseas holiday is on the cards for one young Cabramatta man who this week revealed one of the top prizes of $100,000 on a $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket – only the second one he’s ever bought.
The winning $5 Casino Riches Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at C&T Newsagency, Shop 34-35, 202-205 Railway Parade, Cabramatta.
“I bought this for myself and just scratched it at home. I was ecstatic!” the happy winner shared with a NSW Lotteries official while collecting his prize today.
“This is only the second time I’ve played Instant Scratch-Its. I just picked the ticket at random. I still can’t quite believe it.
“I can’t wait to see all those zeros appear in my bank account.
“I can’t help but think how lucky I am!”
The south-western Sydney resident already has some plans for his instant windfall.
“I’ve been hiding this ticket in a very safe place at home – just under my bedside table.
“This prize will definitely help me – it’s just the security of having that big amount of money in your bank account. It will be so nice to just look at it.
“I’d love to take a trip with my family and also eventually use it to get myself into my own house.
C&T Newsagency owner Tony Tran said it was great to sell another top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“We’ve sold a few top prizes before but we’re more than happy to see more in store!” he said.
“We wish our customer all the best with their prize. I’m sure they’ll find lots of good uses for that big win.”
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
