A Whyalla man has confessed to not believing his eyes after he watched his winning Keno Spot 9 numbers come up on the screen.
The thrilled winner won a $150,000 Keno Spot 9 prize in draw 2412681 drawn Tuesday 18 September 2018.
When speaking with a SA Lotteries official this morning to confirm the win, the winner recounted how he discovered he was now $150,000 richer.
“It’s awesome! I couldn’t believe it!” he exclaimed.
“I thought I had a Spot 5, and then I thought I had a Spot 7! I did not even notice the last two numbers.
“I was speechless, I was shaking. I then had to make sure I was actually looking at the right draw in case it wasn’t true!
“I waited until it came up on the screen and it wasn’t until it showed up I realised I had won $150,000!
“I went out and had a few drinks last night to celebrate.”
When asked how he planned to spend his Keno Spot 9 windfall the stoked bloke revealed he had a few ideas on how to use it.
“I’ll leave it in the bank account. I’ve got a couple of bills I’d like to pay off and I’d like to help out my kids,” he said.
“I was thinking of going on a holiday to the Gold Coast this year, but I think I might have to make it an overseas holiday now!”
The winning Spot 9 entry in Keno was purchased at Hotel Eyre, 39 Playford Avenue, Whyalla.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 9 prize, a player must match all nine of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
