Sixteen Caboolture shoppers are sporting winning smiles today after their syndicate scored division one in last night’s Powerball draw.
Their 16-person store syndicate held the only division one winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1448, drawn Thursday 15 February 2024.
In addition to scoring the $4,907,068.89 division one prize, the syndicate’s PowerHit entry also won multiple divisional prizes, bolstering the group’s total windfall to $5,164,871.49.
Each syndicate member took home a $322,804.47 share.
However, some members of the winning Queensland syndicate may have yet to realise their newfound fortune, prompting lottery officials to urge players to check their tickets as soon as possible.
Entries into the store syndicate were sold at The Local Caboolture South, Shop 6, Market Plaza, 49-55 Morayfield Road, Caboolture.
The Local Caboolture South owner Sandeep Arora said he was elated to discover so many of his customers had shared such an incredible prize.
“This is the first division one win I’ve been part of so it’s a very exciting day not only for my winning customers but for me also,’ he said.
“To see it shared between so many as well is just wonderful.
“It will definitely change each person’s life in different ways and what a way to kick off the weekend!
“I just want to wish them all the best for the future, and I hope they enjoy celebrating this winning news.”
The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might have yet to discover their winning news.
“While members of this winning group might not know each other, they are now united by the fact that last night they each became a Powerball winner,” he said.
“Some of these division one winning syndicate members have already begun celebrating their good fortune knowing their bank account is about to be boosted with more than $300,000.
“While we’ll be reaching out to those winners who are registered, there are still some unregistered syndicate members who may have yet to discover their good news.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1448 on Thursday 15 February 2024 were 35, 34, 19, 10, 18, 15 and 5. The all-important Powerball number was 20.
