A young Bendigo woman is busy ticking things off her bucket list after winning one of the top prizes of $25,000 on a $2 Spooky Cash Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“I’ve already decided where every cent is going to go,” she explained to a Tatts official with glee!
“First is a Pacific Islands cruise with family.
“It’ll be my first overseas trip — something to tick off my bucket list!
“I can’t wait!
“Then, I’m going to have a two-week holiday in Sydney, with a shopping spree.
“I’ve had my eye on some shoes for ages and the shop is in Sydney.
“They’re 12-inch heels, so it’s much better when you can see them in person and try them on.
“I’ll also splash out on a Nintendo Switch and a couple of games, pay off my car rego, and leave a bit in my savings.”
The excited winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her top-prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket from Champions Supa IGA Kangaroo Flat, 20 Station Street, Kangaroo Flat.
The thrilled Bendigo resident explained how her ritual of buying Instant Scratch-Its with her spare change led to her life-changing win.
“I went for a walk and had $2 with me, so decided to buy a scratchie.
“I usually buy Set for Life tickets, as well as Powerball when the jackpot is high. And, if I have a bit of money left over, I buy a scratchie.
“I scratched it in the shop and was so excited when I saw I’d won the top prize!
“Everyone in the store was excited for me too.
“My family didn’t believe me at first. They’re really excited now – they’re researching the cruise already.
“We’ve been talking about doing it for ages. We were going to save up, but now we can just do it!”
Champions Supa IGA Kangaroo Flat store manager Adrian Mooney said the win was very exciting news for the outlet.
“We’re thrilled to have sold a top-prize-winning ticket!” he exclaimed.
“It’s great to have helped someone in the local community win such an awesome prize.”
Not only does the $2 Spooky Cash Instant Scratch-Its ticket still have a top prize of $25,000 up for grabs, there are also tens of thousands of smaller prizes waiting to be won on the new Halloween-themed game.
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
