A Wallsend woman had a weekend to remember after the revelation she is $200,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The happy winner held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1121, drawn Friday 24 August 2018.
In addition to winning the 1st Prize, the woman’s entry also scored a consolation prize of $1,000, bolstering her total win to $201,000.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the winner explained she discovered her good fortune on Friday afternoon, leading to a weekend full of celebrations.
“It’s the most wonderful news. I can’t tell you how much this means to me,” she exclaimed.
“It’s taken me all weekend to come to terms with it.
“It’s a shock out of the blue – but a nice shock. It’s just remarkable.”
The ecstatic winner said she had been carefully thinking about how she will use her Lucky Lotteries prize.
“It’s come at the most wonderful time,” she shared.
“There’s a few things I’m going to do with it, but most importantly I’m going to use it to set myself up for the future.”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of two consecutive numbers from newsXpress Wallsend, Shop 26A, Stockland Wallsend Shopping Centre, Cnr Cowper Street and Kokera Street, Wallsend.
NewsXpress Wallsend team member Ally Kerr said the outlet was celebrating selling its second major prize in three months.
“We sold a division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto in June, and now this! That’s two big wins!” she said.
“It’s great news and something we’ve been sharing with all our customers.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $18.28 million for draw 1123 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.67 million for draw 10244.
