More than a fortnight after she became a millionaire in a Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw, an Allawah woman has discovered the winning news for herself.
The woman’s entry was one of the three division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3807 on Wednesday 10 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
In addition to winning division one, the woman’s marked System 7 entry also won division three 6 times, bolstering he total prize to $1,002,591.70.
However it wasn’t until this morning the woman discovered she became a Wednesday Lotto millionaire more than a fortnight ago.
“Oh my! Oh my!” the woman exclaimed after a NSW Lotteries official confirmed her win.
“I can’t believe it. I simply can’t believe it.”
“It’s beautiful!
“I’ve had this ticket here the whole time but I’ve only just gotten around to checking it. I thought I won $4,000, not over a million dollars.”
With the magnitude of her win only just sinking in, the happy woman’s mind turned to how she might use her Lotto windfall.
“There’s just so much I could do with this,” she said.
“There’s so many people I’ll be able to help – some very close friends and family.
“It’s just amazing to think about.
“There’ll definitely be a cruise in the future for me too.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning marked System 7 entry at Allawah News & Post Office, 454 Railway Parade, Allawah.
It’s the fourth division one winning entry Allawah News & Post Office has sold during the past 16 years.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto have created 152 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3807 on Wednesday 10 October 2018 were 10, 15, 40, 5, 43 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 34.
Across Australia there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3807 – one each in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 325 so far this calendar year, including 88 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
Last financial year, there were 73 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $73 million.
