Feeling elated by her $250,000 Instant Scratch-Its win, a Campbelltown woman brought her husband with her to claim the prize, just in case he needed to call an ambulance if the excitement became too much.
The Greater Western Sydney resident’s winning $10 Mystery Multiplier Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at The Mall Newsagency Campbelltown, Shop 32, Upper Level, Campbelltown Mall, Campbelltown.
The cheery woman shared she would have been thrilled with a $5 win and never imagined she'd take home the top prize.
“I’m still in shock! I seriously thought I was imagining the whole thing,” she laughed.
“I am always quite happy to win $5, and I seriously didn’t expect anything more than that!
“I had to bring my husband in to claim the prize because I was too scared that I’d get too freaked out or excited and he would have to call the ambulance!
“It has come at the most perfect time, and it means I can catch up on some life responsibilities. I really need to get my gutters cleaned and now I can just hire someone to do it!
“I am going to be sensible with the prize and take it one step at a time.
“My brother suggested that I treat myself to a decent bottle of whisky – maybe that will be my celebrations!”
The Mall Newsagency Campbelltown owner Shyam Vekaria said he was thrilled to have sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket to a regular customer.
“I am so excited to have sold a top prize winning entry and couldn’t be happier to see it go to a regular,” he shared.
“We will be celebrating this milestone by decorating our outlet and putting up posters everywhere.
