With less than 48 hours to go until the winning numbers are drawn, Aussies are stampeding for the chance to see in 2019 as a newly-minted millionaire from tomorrow’s Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw.

Up to one-in-three Australian adults are expected to have an entry in tomorrow night’s Megadraw – a draw that historically has crowned more millionaires than any other.

Last year, more than a million entries were sold on the day of the draw. At one stage, more than 1,000 tickets were sold in a single second.

While Megadraw is a game of chance and every number has an equal chance of being drawn, the Lott can reveal the ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ numbers drawn during previous Megadraws.

The numbers 37, 9, 24, 11 and 41 are among the most frequently drawn numbers from the past five Megadraws.

Meanwhile, 19, 10, 8, 15 and 26 are the numbers that haven’t appeared as often during the same period.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said 16 millionaires were crowned after last year’s Megadaw, and he couldn’t wait to see how many would be made this year.

“Whether you have a ritual of marking your entry with loved ones’ birth dates, anniversaries, and ages, or you prefer to keep it random every time and get a QuickPick, the numbers matter!” he said.

“So far this year, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto has created 177 millionaires across Australia and we hope to add a few more to this tally this weekend.

“Just how would your plans for 2019 change if you pocketed a division one slice of the $30 million prize? Would you still go back to work? Could new travels and adventures be on the horizon? Or would you unlock the door to a new home for you and your family?”

Mr Hart said he had three big tips for wannabe Megadraw millionaire.

“Firstly, it goes without saying that you do need an entry for the chance to win.

“Secondly, beat the stampede and get in early to grab your entry in-store, online or via the Lott app. We are expecting a last-minute rush ahead of the draw’s close at 7.30pm AEST.

“Finally, register your entry to a player’s card so your prize is secure and we can easily unite you with your prize. We’ll be reaching out to registered division one winners first thing Sunday morning, so if your phone starts to ring, make sure you answer it as we could have some life-changing news to share.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, there were 290 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.

The $30 Million Megadraw, draw 3907, will take place on Saturday 29 December 2018.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 183 so far this financial year.

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via the Lott mobile app.
