Sharing may be caring, but Aussies vying for the $50 million Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize are captivated by the fact the winner takes it all.
During the past two months, Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot has continued to smash records and for the first time in the game’s 88-year history, today it hit a mind-blowing $50 million.
The raffle-style game is giving one single player the opportunity to take home the entire jackpot prize and re-write the Australian lottery history books as the winner of the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize to have ever been offered.
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she’s looking forward to the day she gets to call the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot winner and tell them they’ve won more than $50 million.
“Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot is continuing to capture the attention of millions of Australians who are dreaming of what life would be like if they got their paws on the $50 million prize!” she exclaimed.
“Lucky Lotteries is a raffle-style game, there’s a set amount of numbers in each draw. Each number is unique, which means when the jackpot goes off the winner takes the whole lot. There’s no sharing of prizes with other players, unlike in other lottery games.
“Once all of the numbers in the draw have been bought, then the draw takes place.
“The current Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot record is held by a woman from Sydney’s northern suburbs. In 2011 she won a whopping $38,185,000.
“We encourage anyone dreaming of what they’d do with $50 million to get in early for their chance to win. With the massive jackpot prize on offer we’ve been seeing these draws sell out in record time, with a draw being held almost every day this year.”
While the jackpot has climbed higher after each Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, it has delivered a guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 to one player in every draw.
Before today’s milestone draw 65 draws have taken place since the beginning of the year and 65 players have received a life-changing phone call with news $200,000 will soon be landing in their bank account.
$13 million has been paid out in 1st Prizes in just the past few months alone.
$800,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prizes yet to be claimed
There are currently four unclaimed Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prizes nationally, with each winning entry worth $200,000.
New South Wales Lucky Lotteries players are proving to be shyer than players in other states, with three of the four unclaimed 1st Prize entries purchased in New South Wales.
Since these winning tickets were not registered to a player’s card at the time of purchase, the Lott officials have no way of making contact with the mystery winners to unite them with their prizes.
Ms Cooney said it was time for players to check any entries they may have hiding in strange places.
“If you purchased an entry at any of these outlets leading up to the draws in question, you could be one of our mystery winners!” she said.
“If you discover you’re the owner of a winning ticket, give us a call as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
