A Maffra man’s working days are numbered now he has won division one in last nights Monday and Wednesday Lotto.
The winner held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Wednesday Lotto draw 3811 on Wednesday 24 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $800,000.
As well as winning the division one prize of $800,000, the Maffra local’s System 7 QuickPick entry also won division three 6 times, bolstering his total prize to $801,402.80.
“Brilliant! Absolutely magic!” he exclaimed when a Tatts official confirmed his win this morning.
“I was just watching TV last night when I thought I should check my ticket.
“I logged on and saw it. I was over the moon. It’s just magic!
“I play pretty regularly, and have won a few bits and pieces here and there but nothing like this!
“It’s still sinking in. We didn’t get much sleep last night!”
When asked how he planned to spend his Wednesday Lotto windfall, the thrilled winner revealed it had come at an ideal time for him to crystalize his retirement plans.
“It’s going to make a big difference here I can tell you!” he revealed.
“It will take the pressure off. I’m planning on retiring in a few years so I’ll be able to put a bit of money into my super which will make retiring much easier.
“It couldn’t have come at a better time!”
