An Adelaide man has been left in a state of absolute awe after discovering he won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The South Australian resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1598, drawn Monday 14 November 2022.
Remarkably, he won the prize on a free ticket he won in a previous draw.
With $200,000 about to boost his bank account, the winning man shared he and his partner would save it for their future.
“I’m sorry, I’m very shocked at the moment!” the winning man exclaimed when confirming his windfall with an official from The Lott.
“I’ve just finished work. I was getting ready for work when you called earlier today.
“I checked my phone to see that The Lott had contacted me.
“I immediately called my wife and had her look into it for me too.
“After that, I went and checked my ticket and realised that I had won.
“I purchase a ticket weekly because you’ve got to be in it to win it!
“I think my family and I might need to go to dinner to celebrate.
“My partner and I will keep saving for our future though.
“This is going to be so good for us.
“Thank you so much.”
His winning entry of one random number was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries. The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1599, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.41 million for draw 10733.
In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
