An Adelaide man has declared the call confirming his $400,000 win in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draws was “the best call I’ve ever had”.
The South Australian held one of the 13 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4509, drawn Saturday 5 October 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $401,209.07.
“I’m glad to get your call!” the winning man exclaimed when an official from The Lott made contact.
“I checked my ticket last night. Normally I have a look at The Lott app when going to bed.
“I was amazed!
“At first, it said I had a win, but I thought, ‘Oh yeah, probably $7’.
“Then, when I saw the full prize, I thought, ‘You must be joking!’.
“That was a lovely surprise. Better than a kick in the guts!
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for a long time – I just ticked some boxes years ago and stuck with them.
“It’s a fantastic prize! We’re already starting to think about what we could do with $400,000 – from home renovations to travel.
“Thanks a lot for the phone call – it’s the best one I’ve ever had!”
The man’s winning marked 6-game entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4509 on 5 October 2024 were 13, 30,18, 24, 27 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 26.
Across Australia, there were 13 division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4509 – four each in Queensland and Victoria, two in New South Wales, and one each in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
