An Altona North family have erupted with unadulterated joy upon hearing the life-changing news they scored a division one prize worth over $930,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Melbourne family held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3957, drawn Saturday 22 June 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $931,789.71.
When a Tatts official made contact with one of the family members this morning, he immediately put his father on the phone so he could also share in the life changing news.
“Dad! Dad! We won nearly a million dollars! Yes! Yes!” the son shouted with glee.
“That’s nearly a million bucks! Oh my goodness! Thank you very much!
“Oh my goodness! Thank you! I’m numb! I’m numb!”
“Thank you very much!” the father added through shocked laughter.
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the happy son revealed it would be a family affair.
“We’ve got a huge family. I’ve got brothers and we all need a hand,” the happy man revealed.
“We’ve got heaps of family and we’ll split it between all of us. I don’t know what else to tell you except for thank you!”
The regular player explained he had been the custodian of the family numbers for a few years.
“We’ve been playing those numbers for a little while,” he revealed.
“I’ve been playing them on behalf of the family and sometimes I forget but this week I made sure I played them.
“We’re a loving family so this win is for all of us.”
“I think we’ll start celebrating now!
“Thank you, this is really, really special for us.”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 5-game marked entry at Borrack Square Lotto & Gifts, 32 Borrack Square, Altona North.
Borrack Square Lotto & Gifts owner Jannene Wenzler said she was thrilled to discover her outlet had sold another division one winning entry.
“I was so shocked when I found out I nearly cried!” she exclaimed.
“It’s so exciting and just surreal to know we’ve sold a winning entry and changed someone’s life.
“It’s the fourth division one winning entry we’ve sold in the four years since we took ownership of the store.
“All of our customers are so excited for us and happy about the win.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3957 on Saturday 22 June 2019 were 41, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 21.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3957, one each from Queensland and South Australia and two from Victoria.
