An Ambarvale man’s lunch has become an unforgettable moment after he was pleasantly interrupted by the revelation, he’d won 1st Prize in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw and is now $200,000 richer.
The New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1626, drawn Thursday 28 September 2023.
Incredibly, the win occurred less than a month after two players from the same south-western Sydney town won in the exact same lottery game.
“That’s brilliant!” the winning man cheered when officials from The Lott called to reveal the life-enhancing news.
“This feels great. I can’t stop smiling.
“What an unreal phone call to get.
“I was eating lunch as you called. I don’t think I can eat anymore!
“I play every week, but I never expected this! This is the most I have ever won.
“Thank you so much.”
The regular player said he would need some time before deciding how he’d best enjoy his prize but knew exactly how to celebrate.
“I have no idea what I’m going to do with $200,000 but dinner will be on me tonight,” he shared.
“I’ll surprise my family at the table!”
His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased at IGA Xpress Glen Alpine, Shop 6, 137 Heritage Way, Glen Alpine.
The IGA Xpress Glen Alpine team said they were over the moon to have sold a 1st Prize winning ticket to a local customer and wish them all the best.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $8.20 million for draw 10799, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.05 million for draw 10799.
In FY23, 218 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $79.20 million.
