An Annandale man who thought he’d be pulling a shift on Christmas Day has scored the ultimate knock-off, pocketing $1.5 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Townsville resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4635, drawn Saturday 20 December 2025. He looks forward to $1,566,506.31.
The winning husband was with his wife when he received the surprise call from an official from The Lott.
“What?! What?! Oh my god!” he laughed.
“I thought it was some sort of prank call, and I was ready to block your number!
“My wife is screaming in the background!
“That’s a great little surprise, especially with Christmas this week.
“I was supposed to work right through to Christmas but now I won’t be!
“Oh my god!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his newly-minted millionaire status, the North Queenslander had a couple of plans in mind.
“I’ll pay off the mortgage and quit work,” he shared.
“We’re so excited!”
His winning 10-game QuickPick was purchased at Golden Arrow Annandale News, Shop 5, Annandale Central Shopping Centre, 91-101 Macarthur Drive, Annandale.
Golden Arrow Annandale News owner Amanda Shield said she was so excited to have sold her first division one winning entry since taking over the outlet three years ago.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4635 on 20 December 2025 were 8, 32, 31, 19, 43 and 41, while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 6.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4635 – three in Western Australia and one in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 418 so far in 2025, including 97 won by Golden Casket customers.
In FY25, Saturday Gold Lotto created 165 millionaires across Australia.
