A hardworking Redlands man has vowed there’ll be now more lawn mowing after this morning’s revelation he is now a Gold Lotto millionaire.

The man in his 50s was one of the two division one winners across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3786 on Monday 30 July 2018.  Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1 million.

It’s the third Gold Lotto division one prize to land in the Redlands during the past three days.

When a Golden Casket official made contact with the winner to confirm his million-dollar win, the Redlands man admitted the news had left him shaking.

“Thank you very much, mate. Thank you very much,” he exclaimed.

“Oh mate, you’re lucky you’re not here or I’d kiss you.I’m not the prettiest to look at so you’re very lucky.

“I’m pretty excited!”

The regular Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto player shared his plans for the day had now changed dramatically – from gardening to celebration.

“I’ll have to leave the lawn mower in the shed for another day!” he said.

“I’ll now probably have a Guinness in about 10 minutes, mate.”

“I’ve just been playing the same numbers for 25 years. The most I’ve ever won is about $35. You always hear of people who win the first time they buy an entry – I’m the opposite.”

While the win was still sinking in, the man confessed he had a few thoughts on how he might use his million-dollar windfall.

“I’m not a rich b*****d that’s for sure, so this eases the financial pressure just a tad,” he laughed.

“This really means a lot to me. I’ll pay off the mortgage and they’ll also be some fun things in there too.

“I even might pay someone to come and do the lawn mowing for me!

The Redlands resident purchased his million-dollar winning marked 50-game entry online at www.thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The man’s win follows two other division one wins in the Redlands from last weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, which saw a local couple and a 20-share store syndicate from News Worx at Victoria Point both win a division one prize of $2,857,142.86.

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 112 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3786 on Monday 31 July 2018 were 29, 11, 8, 40, 35 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 2.

Across Australia there were only two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3786 – one from Queensland and one from New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 230 so far this calendar year, including 55 won by Golden Casket customers.

Last financial year, there were 73 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $73 million.
