An Ararat retiree got the shock of his life when he tuned in to the Saturday night TattsLotto draw and realised his long-held lottery numbers had come up, scoring him a whopping $931,000 windfall.

The Central Highlands resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4627, drawn Saturday 22 November 2025, and looks forward to $931,984.19.

“It’s unbelievable!” he exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed the win.

“It was late Saturday night, and I was watching TV when the TattsLotto numbers came up. I suddenly realised, ‘Hang on! Those numbers seem really familiar!’.

“I checked my ticket straight away and that’s when I found out I’d won division one!

“They were just random numbers I chose once upon a time; draw out of a hat type of numbers.

“I can’t believe it’s finally happened.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his newfound fortune, the victorious Victorian shared plans to getaway.

“My wife and I are now retired, so this will be a huge help towards our retirement years,” he revealed.

“I’d love for my wife and I just to go on a holiday for a week and get away from Ararat!

“Thank you very much. You have the best job in the world.”

His winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Ararat Lott and News, 150-152 Barkly Street, Ararat.

Ararat Lott and News team member Sushanth Kommu said the team were celebrating the outlet’s milestone.

“It’s awesome news! Winning a TattsLotto division one prize is life-changing, and we as a team are happy that we changed someone’s life.

“All of our customers in town will be thrilled and rejoicing as it’s been a while since the store had a division one winner.

“I hope we keep on selling division one winners and giving back to the community.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4627 on 29 November 2025 were 7, 31, 15, 39, 42 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 5 and 8.

Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4627 – three in New South Wales, two in Victoria and two in Western Australia.

In FY25, TattsLotto created 165 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 341 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $420 million.
