A Salisbury couple has claimed the largest Keno SA jackpot in over 20 years, taking home a life-changing $3.62 million prize last night.

The Adelaide residents scored the Keno Spot 10 jackpot in draw 250430 828, drawn Wednesday 30 April 2025 and look forward to a total of $3,624,135.90.

“Far out!” the winning husband exclaimed alongside his wife when an official from The Lott relayed the newfound fortune.

“It’s a lot of emotions. We feel really good, but weird at the same time.

“My wife turned to me this morning when we woke up and said, ‘Are we stuck in a dream and are we really multi-millionaires now?’. Our lives have changed!”

“I actually had a feeling that the jackpot was going to go off soon. I had a joke with one of the venue managers a month ago that it was going to go off in a few weeks, but it’s taken five.

“The ticket is currently tucked away in our safe. It’s not going to leave our sight until we have to claim!”

The winning wife shared she had no clue her husband had bought a ticket, so she was stunned when he walked through the door and told her they were newly-crowned multi-millionaires.

“He put the Keno ticket on without even telling me but my god, what a decision!” she laughed.

“We celebrated last night out in the backyard with some celebratory drinks. We listened to some music and processed it all.

“We didn’t go to bed until 4am; it was so hard to sleep! We kept asking ourselves, ’Is this real? Are we dreaming? Do we really deserve it?’.”

With over $3.6 million set to transform their lives, the South Australian grandparents shared the windfall was truly 'life-changing'.

“The first thing we will do is seek financial advice. We want the prize to last for generations to come,” he said.

“We’re at retirement age, so we will most definitely be retiring and setting up our future. We’ve also been debating downsizing our property, but we didn’t think it would be possible.

“We’re going to buy a new car and help our children and grandchildren. We’re very family orientated and would love to help out our family.

“The best feeling would be paying off our children’s mortgage completely or winding it back at least.

“It still hasn’t sunk in. Thank you so much.”

Their winning entry was purchased at Slug ‘n’ Lettuce, 130 Martins Road, Parafield Gardens, South Australia.

Slug ‘n’ Lettuce spokesperson Marianne Fern said they were celebrating having one of their patrons score a major Keno prize.

“Seeing one of our patrons win big with Keno is always fantastic and generates such a positive atmosphere in our venue that everyone feels like they’ve shared in the win too,” she said.

“As you can imagine, Keno wins like this become a talking point here for a long time to come.

“Venue is no stranger to Keno wins, but we’re always excited to see another one come our way.

“We wish our winner the very best with their prize!”

In 2024, there were more than 5.6 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $130 million. This included 40 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $6.49 million.

The Spot 10 prize was won three times during this period, including a $2.26 million prize won by a Paralowie woman keen to use her good fortune to help others and causes close to her heart.
