Lottery officials are calling on Warwick residents and visitors to check their Saturday Gold Lotto tickets after a mystery player scored a life-changing $1.6 million in the weekend’s draw.
The Darling Downs winner held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4597 on Saturday 9 August 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1,668,614.99.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune. Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the mystery millionaire was most likely starting their week with no idea they’d taken home $1.6 million on the weekend.
“Imagine not knowing you’re now a millionaire thanks to Saturday Gold Lotto! That’s the reality for one mystery Warwick winner after scoring division one on the weekend,” he said.
“While we’ve been unable to confirm the incredible win with the Darling Downs’ newest millionaire, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their news, they’ll be jumping for joy.
“We’re encouraging everyone who purchased an entry from Hynes Newsagency to check their ticket because they might be the mystery millionaire we’re searching for!

The winning entry was purchased at Hynes Newsagency, 110 Palmerin Street, Warwick.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4597 on 9 August 2025 were 45, 4, 10, 40, 41 and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 3 and 6.
