A Bateau Bay local or visitor could be starting the week with a million-dollar boost to their bank account, but first, they need to check their Saturday Lotto ticket and discover their division one win.
The elusive player held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4259, drawn Saturday 14 May 2022. Each entry takes home $1.3 million.
The million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their life-changing win and have to wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Nextra Bateau Bay, Shop 53-59 Bateau Bay Square 12 Bay Vi, Bateau Bay.
Nextra Bateau Bay team member Tim Stevenson said he was on the hunt for the outlet’s mystery winner.
“After the excitement of selling a million-dollar ticket, our first thought was, ‘I wonder if it’s one of our regular costumers!’,” he said.
“Since the winning ticket is unregistered, we’ve been sharing the news with every customer that could potentially hold that million-dollar ticket.
“Our customers are thrilled to hear the news of our store selling the winning ticket as it gives them hope they could be next to win big.
“Our last division one winning ticket we’d sold was in the $20 Million Superdraw on 31st October 2020.
“This is our second division one win for the store in 18 months, so we’re excited.
“Once the lucky winner has come forward, we would love to send them a massive congratulations on their win! May the prize go towards something they have always dreamed of.
“Having sold a division one winning ticket at our outlet boosts the thrill and excitement. We hope we have another major winner soon!”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she hoped the winner would check their ticket and come forward soon.
“This winner is likely oblivious that they’ve become a newly minted millionaire over the weekend,” she said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket at Nextra Bateau Bay to check their tickets today!

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4259 on 14 May 2022 were 20, 27, 35, 39, 25 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 21.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4259 – two from New South Wales and one each from Queensland and Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 162 so far this calendar year, including 45 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2021, Saturday Lotto created 210 millionaires across Australia.
