An Armidale woman has been left stunned and jumping with joy after she unwrapped a winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth a dazzling $100,000 as a birthday present from her daughter.

The Northern Tablelands resident’s winning $5 Money Ball Bingo Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Kirks IGA, 94 Bradley Street, Guyra.

“I know, it’s crazy, right?!” she exclaimed when an official from The Lott called to confirm her top prize win.

“I’m honestly still in disbelief.

“I received the winning ticket as a birthday present from my daughter. How bloody good!

“My daughter was over the moon when I told her she had gifted me a winning ticket worth $100,000 for my birthday. We had a little celebratory dance together.

“I’ve decided I’m going to start gifting Instant Scratch-Its tickets to other people for their birthdays now. Maybe I can carry the tradition forward.”

With a $100,000 birthday payday heading her way, the winning woman confessed she was overwhelmed with ideas on how she’d put her prize to good use.

“Look, there’s a lot of things racing through my mind at the moment,” she explained.

“I’m thinking maybe a holiday, but first I’ll clear a few bills. I’ll also have to do something celebratory with my daughter once the money hits my bank account.

“For now, I’m honestly still in shock.”

Kirks IGA team member Sue Campbell shared she was over the moon to discover her outlet had sold its first major prize-winning ticket in seven years.

“It was so exciting to discover we’d sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000,” she said.

“It’s particularly exciting, because this is the first major prize-winning ticket we’ve sold since we moved locations about seven years ago.

“We’re going to put posters up around the store and spread the winning news with our local community.

Congratulations to our top prize winner. We hope you can enjoy your top prize win!”
