An Ashfield shopper wasn’t dreaming when this week they scratched one of the top prizes of $10,000 on a Dream Big $1.10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The happy winner purchased their winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket from Westend Newsagency, 279 Liverpool Road, Ashfield.
But who the winner is and how they will enjoy their $10,000 Instant prize will forever remain a mystery as the ticketholder has chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said the Ashfield winner was one of dozens of real happy Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners from New South Wales.
“While we don’t know exactly how our winner will enjoy their Instant Scratch-Its top prize, we do know that many winners spend their instant windfall on home renovations and holidays,” she said.
“Imagine what you could do with $10,000! It opens up a whole world of possibilities.
“There are still plenty of prizes across all tiers available for our customers, including the $1.10 Instant Scratch-Its tickets!”
Westend Newsagency owner Ly Ung said he was thrilled to have sold another top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“It was great! My daughter sold the ticket and told the winner they had won and they were very excited to discover they were $10,000 richer,” he explained.
“We were so happy for the winner.
“We have been telling all of customers about the win, it’s amazing.
“I am hoping we sell some more top prize winning tickets. We have sold a few before, so it is certainly possible!”
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
