An Ashmore woman can’t wait to upgrade her retirement plans with a sleek new car and a cruise getaway after she scored $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in Set for Life.
The cheery Queenslander held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3330, drawn Tuesday, 17 September 2024. She can look forward to a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
The happy woman checked her ticket before bed and spent the rest of the night tossing and turning with excitement.
“Woohoo! I’ve been waiting for your call!” she laughed when an official from The Lott called to confirm the life-changing news.
“That’s wonderful. That’s the best thing ever.
“I checked my tickets on my phone last night and luckily I’m not doing anything today because I didn’t sleep a wink after that.
“That’s insane. I’ve been hoping to win the $5,000 division two prize but this is so much better. I never expected this.
“I truly am flabbergasted.
“I’ve got a good friend that I’m going out to lunch with to celebrate.”
With $20,000 about to land into her bank account on the 15th of every month for the next two decades, the winning woman shared she couldn’t wait to treat herself.
“I can buy a new car!” she said.
“I’d love to go on a cruise too. I haven’t been able to travel for some time.
“Thank you so much. My nerves are going crazy.”
The 43-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3330 on Tuesday 17 September 2024 were 44, 40, 22, 43, 30, 16 and 42, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 25.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3330 – one in Queensland.
This marks the 137th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 12th Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 317 so far in FY24, including 72 won by Golden Casket customers.
In FY24, there were 12 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $57.6 million during the next 20 years.
By 30 June 2024, more than $131.48 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 130 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
