A Hunter Region resident or visitor is poised to receive a million-dollar boost to their bank account, but first, they need to check their Saturday Lotto entry and discover their $1 million prize.
The mystery player held one of ten division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4397, drawn Saturday 9 September 2023. Each entry took home $1 million.
The winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the exciting news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Weston Discount Pharmacy, 25-29 Station Street, Weston.
Weston Discount Pharmacy lottery manager Lesley Lester said she was excited to have sold a division one winning entry to a customer.
“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry since taking over the terminal in Weston – what a memorable moment,” she said.
“We’re so happy for our customer and we hope it’s a local, but regardless of who it is and where they’re from, we will be overjoyed for them.
“We recently sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets to a local and they scored $50,000, which is wonderful!
“Congratulations to the mystery winner and we wish them all the best with their division one prize. We hope it makes life a little bit easier for them!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she hoped the region’s latest division one winner would check their Saturday Lotto ticket and come forward soon.
“This winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve won a division one prize in the Saturday Lotto draw and bagged a $1 million win,” he said.
“We were eager to reach out to this winner but unfortunately their Saturday Lotto ticket wasn’t registered to a player card or online account meaning we don’t have their contact details.
“How exciting would it be to discover you’ve won $1 million on a Monday afternoon? It would be an unforgettable moment and an incredible way to start the spring season off!

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4397 on 9 September 2023 were 11, 9, 14, 29, 7 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 23.
