An Auchenflower man has admitted it’s a “weird” feeling knowing he’s suddenly woken up a Wednesday Gold Lotto millionaire.
The inner-city Brisbane resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3919, on Wednesday 6 November 2019. Each division one winning entry takes home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
Confirming his win with a Golden Casket official this morning, the overjoyed man said there really was no nicer feeling.
“Excellent!” he laughed.
“Thank you so much.
“That’s beautiful. How absolutely incredible!
“Isn’t this so weird that I’m a millionaire? It’s completely unexpected. I think I feel a little bit numb.
“This is just wonderful. It’s amazing news!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar prize, the loving family man said he’d be back to work tomorrow.
“We’re not retired and my wife and I both love what we do so we will keep working,” he explained.
“It’s just such a nice feeling!
“Life won’t change too much, we will carry on much the same but it will just be great to know we can do what we want and not worry about money.
“We will certainly help our family and travel a little more than we currently do.
“We will have to think about all the details.
“We will really enjoy it so much! It’s such an amazing thing to have happened to us!”
