An Avalon woman has revealed she’s in ecstasy after winning $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1300, drawn Tuesday 7 May 2019.
A NSW Lotteries official broke the news to the unsuspecting winner this morning, who had no idea of her good fortune.
“Oh I’m in ecstasy, you have no idea!” she exclaimed.
“Thank you so much for that!
“I’m absolutely thrilled! I really am!
“I’m just so overwhelmed. This is the most splendid news. It’s marvellous!
“I’ve been playing for decades!
“I have won a few little prizes over the years but nothing like this!”
The woman revealed she’d need some time to let the news sink in before deciding how she’d spend her prize.
“I really don’t know how I’ll use the prize,” she said.
“I’m too overwhelmed to think at the moment!
“I’ve very cautious with my money so I will have a good think about it!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of one random number at Avalon Beach Newsagency, Shop 11, 57 Avalon Parade, Avalon.
Avalon Beach Newsagency employee Eve McDonald said the team was celebrating the win in store.
“It’s so great to know this has gone to a local customer!” she exclaimed.
“It’s been a couple of years since we sold a major prize winning entry so we’re all very excited!
“We wish our customer all the very best.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $61.48 million for draw 1303 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $890,000 for draw 10288.
