A South Morang woman’s gloomy day took a joyful turn when her morning coffee came with a dash of surprise after realising she’d scored $1 million in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The Melbourne resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4590 on Monday, 25 August 2025 and can look forward to a clean $1 million.
The winning woman took a little longer to discover her prize as her ticket was not registered to The Lott Members Club, meaning officials from The Lott had no way of contacting her about her good fortune.
“I’m very good, thank you! I just keep thinking, ‘Bloody hell, I’m a winner!’,” she said.
“All the adrenaline has settled down a bit now. I’m a bit calmer.
“I’m honestly just so grateful. It will be a huge help to me and my family.
“We’ll use it for the realistic stuff. It’ll just come in handy with those everyday things.
“I was feeling so upset yesterday, and little did I know, I had won the lottery!
“It was one of those days. I didn’t want to get out of bed, but I got up and made myself a coffee. That’s when I remembered I had a Lotto ticket, but I couldn’t remember where on earth I’d put it.
“I knew it was somewhere close by. I found them sitting under some cards, and when I checked it, I just went, ‘Oh my god!’. I couldn’t believe it.
“Now I know why you guys are always saying to register your tickets. I guess I just never thought it would actually happen!
“I often play that risk, buying a ticket and losing it for a few days.
“I feel so lucky. Thank you so much!”
Her winning entry was purchased from Nextra Plenty Valley, Shop 71, Westfield Plenty Valley, 415 McDonalds Rd, Mill Park.
Nextra Plenty Valley store manager Connie Misitano said she was over the moon to hear her outlet had made a customer a millionaire.
“We were so excited to hear that we had sold a division one winning ticket, and we’re thrilled for our customer,” she said.
“This is the first time we’ve sold one since we purchased the store, so we couldn’t be happier.
“We’ll be celebrating by decorating the store with balloons and the winning posters. We’ll also be sharing this exciting news on our social media and with our customers throughout the week.
“Congratulations to the winner. We hope that it changes your life for the better.”
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4590 on Monday 25 August 2025 were 6, 4, 10, 37, 23 and 41, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 36.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4590 – one each in Queensland and Victoria.
