A Balwyn shopper has a million reasons to smile after today discovering they won division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.
The secretive winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3971, drawn on Saturday 10 August 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $1,017,643.37.
However how the player plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Tatts spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said while we might never know how this winner planned to enjoy their windfall, there was no doubt it would be life-changing.
“We can only imagine how our happy winner will enjoy their million-dollar TattsLotto prize!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt it’s changed their plans for the week and the rest of the year.
“Some winners tell us they want to use their windfall to travel the world flying first class or purchase a motorhome to explore our sunburnt country.
“Others say they will retire from work earlier than they planned or quit their job to take up a long-held passion.
“Most of our winners choose to share it with their nearest and dearest.

The winning entry was purchased at Balwyn Newsagency, 413 Whitehorse Road, Balwyn.
Balwyn Newsagency owner Bernard Shannon said his outlet was celebrating selling a division one prize to one of their customers.
“We are over the moon,” he said.
“We are all very excited and have huge smiles on our face. We’ve been telling all of our customers and they are thrilled for us.

“The last division one winning entry we sold was in 2015. We have sold about 20 in total over the years.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3971 on Saturday 10 August 2019 were 39, 9, 6, 37, 1 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 45.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3971, two from Victoria and one each from Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 235 so far this calendar year, including 98 won by Tatts customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
