A Banora Point woman is beside herself after discovering her $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win more than two weeks after the draw.

The north-eastern New South Wales resident won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10647, drawn Wednesday 17 August 2022.

The winning woman’s ticket was unregistered, so lottery officials had no way of contacting the ticketholder to break the thrilling news until she came forward 17 days later.

“I am so excited, I can’t believe it!” she exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott this morning.

“I only play Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot occasionally, so this is a great win.

“I haven’t really had much time to think about how I’m going to celebrate.

“I’ll probably drink some champagne and pay the house off.

“I could probably take some time off, but I’m going to keep working.

“This is going to take the pressure off.

“Thank you so much!”

Her winning entry was purchased at Tweed City News, Shop 245 Tweed City Shopping Centre, 54 Minjungbal Drive, Tweed Heads South.

Tweed City News manager Sue wood said her team was over the moon to sell their seventh Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize winning ticket.

“We’ve been here for 34 years! We are so excited for our local area. Our residents have been through so much since the floods and we’re excited to give back to the people that support us,” she said.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the best with their prize and we hope it helps their dreams to come true.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $14.21 million for draw 1590, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $26.02 million for draw 10671.

In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In FY22, more than 133.5 million winners took home more than $3.93 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Monday & Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.6 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
