Although Father’s Day is right around the corner, one Bathurst dad is shifting the focus to his children after scoring $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The New South Wales resident scored the only division one prize nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4434 and pocketed a neat $1 million.
The gleeful man had checked his winning ticket just moments before officials from The Lott called to confirm the life-enhancing news.
“I know why you’re calling!” the winning man laughed.
“I checked my ticket just before and I’m over the moon.
“I’m excited but pretty calm actually.
“My kids mean the world to me, so I already know I’ll be helping them out.
“They’re not going to believe me, that’s for sure!
“I wouldn’t mind doing some overseas travelling too.
“Thank you so much.”
The winning 15-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4434 on Monday 26 August 2024 were 5, 26, 38, 45, 32 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 2.
