A professional Baulkham Hills woman has a last-minute decision to thank for her $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win after scoring the 1st Prize in today’s draw.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1380, drawn Monday 8 July 2019.
As well as winning the coveted 1st Prize, the woman also scored a consolation prize of $2,000, bolstering her total prize to $202,000.
The winner had no idea of her good fortune until a NSW Lotteries official contacted her this afternoon to share the exciting news.
“You’re kidding? I can’t believe it!” she exclaimed.
“The funny thing is, I wasn’t going to buy a ticket this week. Then on the spur of the moment I changed my mind. I thought ‘might as well buy one’.
“I’m very glad I did!
“I’m at work at the moment and so I’m going to have to try hard to act normal and concentrate when I go back to my desk.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall the shocked woman confessed she was too overwhelmed.
“Gosh I don’t know! I’ll have to think about!” she laughed.
“I never thought I would win this much money so I haven’t even thought of how I would spend it!”
The happy woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of five consecutive numbers at Norwest News, Shop 16, Norwest Market Town, 4 Century Circuit, Baulkham Hills.
Norwest News owner Lan Shen said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another major prize.
“This is the 15th major prize we’ve sold at this outlet!” he exclaimed.
“You could say we are a lucky store.
“The last time we sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize was in January so we are hoping to make it a hat-trick and sell three this year.
“Congratulations to our winner!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $80.20 million for draw 1381 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.32 million for draw 10299.
