A Concord grandmother has been left speechless and tearful after receiving a life-changing phone call from lottery officials that she won $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The Sydneysider held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4591, drawn Wednesday 27 August 2025. She pocketed a clean $1 million.
The winning woman, who had recently been unable to work due to illness, was completely flabbergasted when an official from The Lott called with the exciting revelation.
“Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!” she cried.
“Oh my! Thank you, God! That is beautiful.
“Excuse my crying. Oh god, I can’t believe this.
“I’ve always said that if I win, I will help the kids and my grandchildren. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
“I’ve been unwell, and I haven’t been able to work, so this is huge news.
“I can’t wait to tell my husband who’s at work right now. He’ll be very surprised.
“I’m so sorry I questioned you at first! I get so many calls, and I never know who it is but I’m so glad to have received this one.
“You have no idea how much this means to my family! It’s just beautiful! Thank you so much!”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Concord News & Gift, 47 Majors Bay Road, Concord.
Concord News owner Ken Lai said he was thrilled to hear the team had sold a division one winning entry.

The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4591 on Wednesday 27 August 2025 were 15, 12, 42, 31, 24 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 23.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall draw 4591 – the one in New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 280 so far in 2025, including 75 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY25, Weekday Windfall created 94 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 99 division one winning Weekday Windfall entries across Australia, which collectively won $105 million.
