A Marrickville woman’s morning took an unexpected turn when she received the winning news that she’d won a life-enhancing $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Sydneysider held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 10905, drawn Friday 20 December 2024. She won a total prize of $100,000.00.
When an official from The Lott revealed her prize, the winning woman shared she’d thought she might’ve won $10,000 but never imagined a $100,000 prize.
“Oh my god! Wow!” the winning woman exclaimed.
“I was on my way to work but I’ve had to pull over.
“I can’t believe it!
“I had no idea I’d won so much. I thought I’d won $10,000 and I felt lucky.
“I’ve been playing on and off for years now. I decided to try my luck and buy a few tickets over Christmas.
“I just can’t believe I’m going to be driving around with $100,000!
“It’s the best thing that could happen to me. What a way to start the week.
“As they say, you’ve got to be in it to win it.
“It’s going to go straight toward some bills and the mortgage.”
Her winning entry was purchased from, Marrickville Metro Newsagency, Shop 26, Metro Shopping Centre, 34 Victoria Road, Marrickville.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $3.88 million for draw 1694, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $9 million for draw 10912.
In FY24, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $53.4 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
