A Biggera Waters woman has revealed she’s thrilled to no longer have to hide her furry companion from her rental property manager, using her $1.4 million Saturday Gold Lotto windfall to build a dream home for herself and her beloved cat.

The Gold Coast resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4595, drawn Saturday 2 August 2025. She looks forward to $1,428,581.63.

Lottery officials have also advised Gold Coast residents to check their tickets, as there is less than one week remaining to claim a $670,000 Saturday Gold Lotto ticket won back in August 2018.

The winning woman missed multiple calls from lottery officials trying to deliver the life-enhancing news and was shocked to discover she was a newly-minted millionaire.

“Oh my god. I’m shaking!” she laughed.

“Oh my goodness. Thank you very much!

“Wow! This is the biggest prize I’ve ever won. I’ve only ever won $11, and I’ve been playing for 25 years.

“I’m so excited. I’ve always wished of winning division one!

“I’m on a disability pension and I live in a rental. I’m always having to hide my cat during an inspection and I’m sick of it!

“I will be able to buy a house and no longer worry about inspections or the rent continuing to go up.

“This win is for my cat!

“I won’t be able to sleep tonight. I’m too excited.”

Her winning marked 6-game entry was purchased at Pacific Fair Newsagency, Shop 1571 Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Hooker Boulevard, Broadbeach.

Pacific Fair Newsagency owner Anthony Milligan said he couldn’t believe his team had sold their second division one winning ticket in under two years.

“We’re very excited! All of our staff were only talking the other day about how the winners must react when they get that lucky phone call from The Lott,” he said.

“Our customers will be pleased for the winner. There will plenty of conversations around what they would do if they won. Maybe it’s their turn next.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was in October 2023. We’re very pleased to have sold our second division one winning entry in under two years.

“Well done. Hopefully our winner takes that special holiday they’ve been putting off or payoff the mortgage. Just relax and enjoy the moment.”

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4595 on 2 August 2025 were 24, 40, 43, 21, 45, and 1, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 9.

Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4595  – two each in New South Wales and Western Australia, and one each in Queensland, Vicotria, and Tasmania.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 258 so far in 2025, including 59 won by Golden Casket customers.

In 2024, Saturday Gold Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 316 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
