A Moonee Ponds man thought his birthday couldn’t possibly get any better until he unwrapped the ultimate gift - a TattsLotto ticket worth a dazzling $367,000.
The Greater Melbourne resident held one of the 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4543, drawn Saturday 1 February 2025. Each entry scored $367,448.93.
“Thank you very much!” the winning man exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed the news this morning.
“I honestly couldn’t believe it. I scanned the ticket at the local newsagency, and it came up with, ‘Prize too big to pay out in-store’, and I thought hang on!
“I then had a look online and it came up with the division one win.
“It was my birthday too which is the crazy part.
“I still woke up and decided to go to work – just another ordinary day but I had a nice celebratory dinner with some drinks!”
With more than $367,000 poised to hit his bank account this month, the victorious Victorian shared he couldn’t wait to boost his business and jet off to Japan once again.
“It will be going straight to the business, and I’ll go on some holidays,” he shared.
“I’d love to go back to Japan. It’s a great country!”
His marked System 9 entry was purchased at Puckle Street Newsagency, 45 Puckle St, Moonee Ponds.
Puckle Street Newsagency owner Daniel Vo said it felt amazing to have sold the outlet’s first division one winning entry since taking over ownership.
“It feels good. It’s our first division one winning entry which is just awesome news for us!” he said.
“I took over the business in July 2023 and have been patiently waiting for it to arrive and now that it has, I just can’t believe it.
“I’ve started to decorate the store with some division one posters and it’s been the hot topic already with many customers talking about it with us.
“On behalf of the entire Puckle Street Newsagency, we wish the division one winner all the very best and hope they’ll be able to fulfil some amazing dreams with their prize.”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4543 on 1 February 2025 were winning numbers 12, 8, 18, 7, 41 and 1 while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 32.
Across Australia, there were 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 1615 – five in New South Wales, three in Victoria, and two each in Queensland, Western Australia and one in South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 304 so far in FY25, including 111 won by Tatts customers.
In FY24, TattsLotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 292 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
