A Bonnyrigg woman is feeling “delighted and overwhelmed” after checking her Saturday Lotto ticket today and discovering she won division one in the weekend’s draw.
The Sydney resident held one of the ten division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4055 on Saturday 30 May 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $502,546.00.
Confirming her win with an official from the Lott this afternoon, the woman explained she’d just checked her ticket at the newsagency.
“Thank you very much,” she said.
“I feel quite overwhelmed but of course delighted.
“It’s hard to believe. I had no idea until I checked my ticket just now.
“It’s incredible!
“I have been playing regularly for quite some time now, so this is really exciting news.
“It’s come at the best time with everything going on at the moment. It really has given me something to celebrate.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the winning woman said she’d need some time to let the news of her sudden win sink in.
“I’m going to have to really think about it,” she said.
“I did have a few holidays planned, but obviously they’ve been cancelled, but when I travel again maybe I’ll be upgrading.
“I know I’ll really enjoy it, that’s for sure.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Hinchinbrook Newsagency, Shop 27, The Valley Plaza, 189 Wilson Road, Hinchinbrook.
In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4055 on Saturday 30 May 2020 were 19, 3, 25, 22, 44 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 1.
Across Australia, there were 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4055 – three from Queensland, two each from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and one from Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 155 so far this calendar year, including 39 won by New South Wales Lotteries customers.
Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 289 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $333.41 million.
