A Boronia Heights man has confessed he had to Facetime friends and family to gather second and third opinions after scratching a $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its windfall over dinner.

The top prize-winning $5 Crosswords Country Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Boronia Park News, Shop 8, 90 Parklands Drive, Boronia Heights.

“It was just a spur-of-the-moment decision to purchase a couple of scratchies whilst I bought a few lottery tickets. I never expected to win!” he exclaimed when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.

“I’m glad I decided to do it now!

“I got home and sat down to dinner and decided to scratch away at the ticket. Lo and behold, I thought, ‘oh my god, did I just win?’.

“It was such a shock!

“I was immediately on the blower to a couple of friends and family and showed them the ticket so they could confirm I wasn’t crazy.

“It’s still too hard to process. I feel like I’m living in a dreamland.

“The win is going to be such a huge help for me too.

“I’m looking to buy my first home soon, and this is going straight towards a deposit.

“What an amazing time in my life!”

The Boronia Park News team said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best for the future.
