A Botany shopper is on a high after today discovering they won $200,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw last week.
The south-east Sydney player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1269, drawn Friday 5 April 2019.
However, how the 1st Prize winner plans to spend their unexpected windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Botany Newsagency, 1413 Botany Road, Botany.
Botany Newsagency owner Watli Lyo said he was excited to sell a 1st Prize winning entry to one of his customers.
“I am so happy for our customer and it’s always such a thrill to know someone who has been in our store has now had their life changed forever,” he said.
“Everyone who has been visiting our store is so excited. This win has created a real buzz.
“We’ve sold plenty of major prize winning entries over the years.
“We wish our winner luck and have no doubt they’ll enjoy their prize!”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said while we might never know how the Botany player planned to spend their prize, we were sure the win brought a smile to their face.
“What an incredible surprise to discover you’ve been holding onto a $200,000 winning ticket!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the year will change when their bank account balloons by $200,000!

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $54.76 million for draw 1275 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.79 million for draw 10283.
