A Mount Low grandmother is celebrating this morning with a strong coffee and an even stronger sense of excitement after scoring a life-changing $1 million win in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The cheerful Townsville resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4491, drawn Monday 6 January 2025 and can look forward to a delightful $1 million.
Upon discovering the thrilling revelation that she had become a newly-minted millionaire, the gleeful woman was left utterly speechless.
“Wow! I can’t believe it!” she said while speaking to an official from The Lott.
“That’s beautiful. That’s just awesome. I don’t know what to say or do!
“I’m ecstatic. This is the best way to start the year.
“Thank you very much! I’ve been playing for about 40 years as a tradition, and I was just about to buy next week's ticket, but it looks like I don’t need to now.
“How beautiful. This is going to make life a lot easier. I’ll be able to help family too.
“Now I’m going to make myself a nice strong coffee, sit down and let it sink in.
“I’m going to have the most superb day now.”
Her winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4491 on Monday 6 January 2025 were 1, 28, 11, 39, 2 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 35.
