A Brisbane man has told his boss he’s packing up for the day and finishing work early, after discovering he won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Queenslander won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1208, drawn Wednesday 30 January 2019.
A Golden Casket official contacted the man this afternoon to break the exciting news while he was at work, sending him into a frenzy of disbelief.
“I can’t believe it,” he initially said.
“I’m freaking out!
“Oh my god. I’m really freaking out!
“This is amazing. I really can’t believe it!
“This is the absolute dream. I’m so happy.
“I think I’ll have to tell my boss that I need to go home for the rest of the day.
“I can’t think straight. I can’t keep working!”
The man revealed he had been playing the Lott’s range of lottery games for decades but had never won anything like this.
“I’ve been playing lottery games for about 20 years,” he explained.
“I won $1400 a few months ago. But I really can’t believe this!
“I’m really freaking out.
“This has changed my life forever. I’m over the moon!
“I would love to go for a holiday to Fiji with the kids.
“And I’d love to buy a house!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $38.92 million for draw 1209 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.97 million for draw 10269.
