A Brunswick man’s hair on his arms struggled to stay in place after he discovered he’d scored $1.3 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The victorious Victorian held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4617, drawn Saturday 18 October 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $1,303,392.97.
In addition to division one, the gleeful man also snagged division three 24 times, division four 90 times and division six 80 times, bolstering his total prize to $1,328,243.97.
“I’m very good!” he said when an official from The Lott called to confirm the winning news.
“Gosh, my hair is starting to stand up on my arms. It has barely stopped since I checked my ticket.
“I checked on Saturday night, and I just started shaking. I didn’t know what to do!
“It’s crazy because I actually had a funny feeling that I was going to win something.
“I was walking past the newsagency, and something was pulling me to go in. Who knows, it might’ve been a loved one looking out for me.
“It’s incredible. On the night when I checked my ticket, I punched my numbers in, and I actually thought I had won $1,000 at first. Then I went, ‘Hang on!’.
“I know I said I thought I was going to win something, but I wasn’t expecting the big one.
“It’s amazing. I’ll be able to help my family members.
“Thank you so much!”
His winning System 10 entry was purchased at Lygon Street North Newsagency, 365 Lygon Street, Brunswick East.
Lygon Street North Newsagency owner Tony Xie said he was thrilled to hear a customer had taken home a life-changing prize from his outlet.
“We honestly couldn’t believe it at first! The whole team was absolutely buzzing. There were cheers, high-fives, and smiles all around,” he shared.
“It’s such an incredible feeling knowing that someone bought a life-changing ticket right here at our store.
“Believe it or not, our last division one winning entry was just in 2023, so it hasn’t even been that long! We must be on a real lucky streak.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4617 on 18 October 2025 were 18, 38, 32, 19, 7 and 10, while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 28.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4617 – three in Victoria, and one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 348 so far in 2025, including 136 won by Tatts customers.
In FY25, TattsLotto created 165 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 341 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $420 million.
