A Buff Point mother has experienced the ultimate interruption while busy at work this morning – discovering her $100,000 windfall in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Central Coast resident won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10501, drawn Thursday 4 October 2021.

So far in 2021, there have been 14 Lucky Lotteries major winning entries in the Central Coast & Hunter region, collectively worth more than $1.7 million.

“Oh my god! You’re kidding. Are you real?” she questioned when an official from The Lott called her this morning to deliver the winning news.

“This isn’t a hoax? I can’t believe it. I’ve never won anything in my life!

“I’m at work right now, and I’d really love to stand up and walk right out to celebrate! This is wonderful news.

“I’ve only been buying lottery tickets for three months now. I’ve been purchasing entries into the Lucky Lotteries Super and Mega Jackpot draws and Set for Life.

“When you called earlier, and I had to ring my husband to find the ticket, he nearly wet himself from excitement! He’s been purchasing lottery tickets for a very long time now.

“You’ve made my Thursday!”

With $100,000 about to land in her bank account, the elated winner said she knew exactly what she’d do.

“I think I’d like to shout the family a holiday! It’s long overdue in my household,” she shared.

“We also would like to do some renovations to our house.”

Her winning entry of three random numbers was purchased at Charmhaven Newsagency, 17 Pacific Highway, Shop 15, Northlakes Shopping Village, San Remo.

Charmhaven Newsagency owner Christine Smith said the team was overjoyed for the local winner.

“How very exciting!” she said.

“This is our second major winning entry sold in Lucky Lotteries. We sold another about six or eight months ago. It’s nice to see another one come around.

“It makes you feel warm and happy inside when you know one of your customers has won a major lottery prize! Congratulations to the winner on behalf of everyone at Charmhaven Newsagency.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.60 million for draw 1550, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $4.01 million for draw 10502.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, 136 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $46.09 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who scored a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May 2021.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Australians took home more than 123.7 million prizes worth more than $3.62 billion from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Monday & Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.5 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
