A Mittagong retiree says her life is about to become “so much easier” after winning $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1375, drawn Thursday 4 July 2019.
Sharing her joy with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, just after she checked her winning ticket, the woman recounted the life-changing revelation.
“I’m a bit of a mess at the moment,” she laughed.
“I just went down to the newsagency and they checked my ticket and said ’hang on, you’ve won big’.
“I thought ‘bulls**t, there’s no way it’s me’.
“I just can’t believe it!
“It’s fantastic! Thank you so much.
“I feel so overwhelmed.”
The winner revealed she’d need to take some time to let the gravity of her windfall sink in before she decided exactly how she’d enjoy her prize.
“My god, I’ll have to think about it,” she said.
“Probably just the normal things, pay bills, get ahead, help some friends and family.
“It will make life so much easier!”
The happy woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Mittagong Newsagency, 4 Princes Street, Mittagong.
Mittagong Newsagency owner Sam Zeng said he couldn’t be happier for his regular customer.
“I’m very happy for our winner, she’s such a deserving local customer,” he said.
“We’ve been waiting for her to check her ticket for almost a week, so we’re so glad she finally did today.
“We can’t wait to sell more winning entries to our customers!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $80.92 million for draw 1384 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.32 million for draw 10299.
