A Bundeena woman’s monthly chiropractor appointment has never been so satisfying after she cracked a $200,000 lottery prize with the ticket she bought after the session.
The Southern Sydney winner took home the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1541, drawn Monday 16 August 2021.
When an official from The Lott dialled the woman to break the thrilling news, she had no idea $200,000 was about to land in her bank account.
“Wow! That’s pretty crazy,” she happily laughed.
“Once a month, I purchase an entry into the Lucky Lotteries draw when I go to visit my chiropractor, as the newsagency is right next door.
“I was actually just about to check my tickets! How funny.
“My husband is in the room next door, probably wondering what is going on, and what I’m talking about!
“This is fantastic. Thank you so much!”
When asked how she might enjoy her lottery windfall, the joyful woman said she already knew exactly what she would do.
“The prize will definitely help pay off the rest of my house mortgage!” she revealed.
“I can’t really celebrate during lockdown, but a nice bottle of wine will go a long way.”
The winning entry was purchased at Gymea Newsagency, 32 Gymea Bay Road, Gymea.
Gymea Newsagency owner Jim Purcell said he was pleased the outlet had sold a major lottery prize.
“I was so happy to hear that we had sold a 1st Prize!” he exclaimed.
“We already had a bunch of loyal customers express their happiness for the outlet and the winner.
“Congratulations to our winner, and we hope they enjoy their win during this difficult time!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.68 million for draw 1542, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.67 million for draw 10484.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
