A Bungendore man’s mind has been filled with dreams and possibilities for the coming year after the revelation he won $200,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Queanbeyan resident scored the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1640, drawn Monday 8 January 2024.

The regular Lucky Lotteries player couldn’t believe his new year had started with a major lottery win.

“This is the best news,” he shared.

“I discovered the win a few days ago, on Tuesday actually.

“I’ve spent the last few days thinking about it.

“It’s consumed most of my thoughts.

“I’ve been playing for a while now, and I never expected it to happen!

“I’m not too sure how I’ll enjoy the prize, but it will go to good use.”

His winning entry of one random number was purchased at Bungendore Newsagency, 17B Gibraltar Street, Bungendore.

Bungendore Newsagency manager Kathan Patel said the winning news was a welcome start to 2024.

“What a great way to start the new year – not only for us – but for the customer as well! Bungendore is a small town and it’s great when locals can pick up a win,” he shared.

“We’ve previously sold a division two winning entry in Saturday Lotto, but this is our biggest win and we’re so happy. We’ve been telling all our customers and have had some great reactions.

“Congratulations to the winning man and his family. Thank you very much for supporting our little newsagency and we wish you all the best.”
