When a Buranda woman thought her holiday on a cruise couldn’t get any better, she received a life-changing phone call about her $1 million win in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto.

The southern Brisbane resident held the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4250, drawn Monday 9 January 2023 and takes home $1 million.

An official from The Lott reached out to the holidaymaker in the early hours of the morning and was greeted with cheers of joy.

“No! No! No!” she joyfully yelled.

“Wow, I’m a millionaire!

“Oh Jesus! I’m in shock. I can’t believe it.

“Is this a joke? Is this a fake call? I’m shaking.

“I’m on a cruise right now. I might fall over!

“I need a drink! I need to cool down!

“Thank you! Thank you!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her life as a newly made millionaire, the Queenslander admitted she was too mind-boggled to make any future plans.

“I can’t think right now! I’m too overwhelmed!” she shared.

“I’m sure it will go to good use.”

Her winning marked 8-game entry was purchased at South City Square News, South City Square, 148 Logan Road, Buranda.

The South City Square News team are overjoyed to have sold a division one winning entry to a local woman the first month into the new year and wished their local winner all the best.
