After discovering she won $4.8 million in Set for Life, a Burraneer mum has cancelled her plans for the day and instead intends to do nothing more than lay on the ground and let the life-changing news sink in.

The Sydney winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 2147, drawn Tuesday 22 June 2021. She takes home the prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.

When an official from The Lott called the woman this morning, she had no idea her life had changed forever, thanks to a division one win.

“Oh my god! That is absolutely amazing,” she giggled.

“Wow! This is incredible.

“When you called me before, I was convinced you were scamming me. But then I checked my ticket online, and I saw it was true!

“Wow! I just can’t believe this! My husband is right beside me, and he keeps asking me what I am on the phone about.

“I was meant to go out for a few appointments today, but I am going to cancel everything!

“As soon as I get off the phone to you, I am going to lay on the ground and let this all sink in!

“I just can’t believe I am a multi-millionaire!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the delighted mum said it would certainly come in handy.

“I want to renovate the house! I would absolutely love a new kitchen,” she explained.

“I want to help out the kids as well.

“Eventually, we would love to travel around the world, but for now, we will just use it to travel around Australia and enjoy our retirement.

“Tonight, we will go out for dinner to celebrate.”

The winning 10-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Lucky 7 Burraneer Supermarket, 139 Woolooware Road, Burraneer.

Lucky 7 Burraneer Supermarket owner Charlie Xu said he sent his best wishes to his division one winner.

“It’s very exciting,” he admitted.

“It’s such an amazing win for our customer.

“We are very happy for her! She is a very lucky woman and we hope she enjoys being Set for Life.

“We’ve been recommending Set for Life to all of our customers recently because we think it’s a great game and would be awesome to receive those monthly instalments.

“I can’t wait to tell all of my customers this exciting news, and I am sure they hope they win division one next.”
