Lottery officials are on the hunt for an unsuspecting West Ryde player who is yet to discover they scored more than $756,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The mystery New South Wales player held one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4171, drawn Saturday 10 July 2021. Each entry won a division one prize of $756,133.42.
The ticket is unregistered so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news. Instead, they must wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.
The life changing entry was purchased at West Ryde Marketplace News, Shop 14, 14 Anthony Road, West Ryde.
West Ryde Marketplace News owner Sunita Chauhan said she hoped the winner discovered the sensational news soon.
“We are so happy for the winner, especially during this period of great uncertainty,” she said.
“We are decorating the shop with banners and balloons and have been sharing this news with our customers. We’ve been promising them all we will have a celebratory party once the restrictions have lifted.
“We’ve been sharing the news with our customers and they’ve all been checking their entries, hoping they’re holding the winning ticket.
“Our customers are so happy and excited to hear we’ve sold a division one winning entry. We last sold a major prize in March 2018, so we’ve been waiting for our next one.
“We’ve sold about 10 major prizes in 15 years, and we are proud to add another to our list.
“Hopefully our winner discovers this news soon so they can begin to fulfill their dreams.”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she couldn’t wait to speak to the winner and unite them with their life-enhancing prize.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve won hundreds of thousands of dollars!” she said.
